Historically, the SF LGBT Center has put on one of the largest TLGBQ+ career fairs in the country and we are excited to bring this event back in 2024! We showcase leading Bay Area employers from a wide range of industries who are dedicated to learning about and providing safer and more supportive workplace environments for the TLGBQ+ community as well as opportunities for gainful employment.

  • An opportunity to get free professional headshots taken
  • Access to our Cyber Center so you can print your resume out or apply to any open roles you're interested in after meeting with employers
  • A lounge area for TGNB folks to network with other TGNB jobseekers

COVID-19 protocols: In consideration of public health and the safety of immunocompromised community members, we encourage attendees to wear a well-fitting mask that covers both their mouth and nose.

Accessibility Information: The Employment Services Team is committed to providing more accessible events for the communities we serve.

Sensory needs: We will have a designated sensory-friendlier hour to kick off the event where there will be no background music playing, fewer people admitted, and designated quiet spaces. We will have disposable earplugs available throughout the event. We ask that folks refrain from wearing strong perfume/cologne or other fragrances.

Physical/spatial access needs: There are no steps to the entrance of the building and there are two elevators that provide access to all areas of the building where the event will take place. Center staff is being mindful in the organizing process to ensure there is ample space to navigate around the rooms where the event will take place.

What is the dress code?

We encourage you to dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable in a professional setting and confident enough to share what you have to bring to the roles you're applying to and ask any questions you may have. (If you need clothes for the event email us at employmentservices@sfcenter.org)

Can I get help with my resume or interview prep before the event?

Please see our Eventbrite page to register for Employment Services Drop-In or stop by the Center between 12 and 1:30pm any Thursday to get immediate one-on-one job search support.

Are you accessible by bus?

The SF LGBT Center is located at 1800 Market Street. We are easily accessible by MUNI. The F-train streetcar drops on our block. Alternatively, you can take the underground MUNI to Van Ness and then walk 1/3 mile to our front door.

What is parking like at The SF LGBT Center?

Street parking is limited and metered. There is one designated accessible parking spot located on Waller St. near Octavia St. and the main entrance is located around the building on Market St.

How physically accessible is the building?

Our 4-story building is ADA Accessible (no steps to enter with 2 elevators to navigate the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors) with accessible all-gender restrooms. Center staff is being mindful in the organizing process to ensure there is ample space to navigate around the event rooms.

Will this event have all-gender restrooms?

The SF LGBT Center has accessible all-gender restrooms on each floor.

How will this event be made more sensory-friendly?

We will have a designated more sensory-friendly hour to kick off the event where there will be no background music playing, fewer people admitted, and designated quiet spaces. We will have disposable earplugs available throughout the duration of the event.

Will masks be required at this event?

No. In consideration of public health and the safety of immunocompromised community members, we recommend that all attendees wear a well-fitting mask to this event.

Are emotional support animals permitted to attend this event?

Yes, emotional support animals are allowed at this event.

Will this be a low-fragrance event?

Yes. We ask that all attendees avoid wearing fragranced products, such as perfumes and lotions, to keep the event accessible to folks with fragrance/chemical sensitivities.

Are we allowed to bring a guest (job coach, mentor, etc.) to provide support during the event?

Yes, please bring a supportive plus one if needed.
