'Comedy on the Rocks' English Open Mic is BACK! Lausanne's ONLY English Open Mic brings comedians from around Switzerland (and Geneva) to LCC for a night of laughs. Come with your friends, colleagues or other people who you like to spend time with, but don't want to talk to.

New and experienced comedians test out new jokes for the first time and keep tweaking and working out their other material as they work towards......something. A netflix special? Probably not, but maybe some viral YouTube or TikTok clips? Maybe!

It's donation based, so come and drink liberally and give generously so we can keep bringing the HaHa's to Switzerland, the most HILARIOUS Direct Democracy/Confederation on the Planet!

Frequently asked questions

Is this free?

Officially yes. It's more a 'pay what you can' model that goes towards the costs of organizing and hosting the event and for comedians travel costs and a bit for their time as well. If you can't afford anything, come anyway. If you can, great. If you really can, then give generously.

Can I try out?

Short answer YES! Write me and I'll ask some questions, but most likely yes and most likely SOON! There are also some classes offered at various points throughout the year if you want some instruction. Follow me on Instagram or write me directly for more information.

Do you overbook?

YES. You may be surprised that some people who make free reservations don't feel beholden to them. SO, if you want to be sure you have a seat, arrive early (19:00-19:30). After 19:30, it starts to fill up, so show early ESPECIALLY if you're a group who want to sit together.

Is there food?

YES! Great cocktails and nice bites. Maybe not a full dinner, depending on how hungry you are, but definitely enough to tide you over in a pinch.
