Free, dementia-friendly social group for older adults and carers to connect through sport, stories and shared memories.
Reconnect through sport, stories and shared memories.
Sporting Memories is a relaxed, welcoming program for older adults, including people living with dementia and their carers. Using sport as a starting point, participants come together to chat, reminisce, laugh, and connect with others in their community.
Each session includes:
- Friendly conversation about past sporting moments
- Fun quizzes and activities
- Story sharing and gentle discussion
- Opportunities to make new friends in a supportive environment
No sporting knowledge is required — just an interest in conversation and connection.
This program supports wellbeing by reducing social isolation and creating a space where everyone feels:
- Free to talk about anything
- Included and valued
- Encouraged to share and learn
