The Anthracite Philharmonic, formed in 2011, is an orchestra comprised of accomplished musicians from Schuylkill County and surrounding areas.We are devoted to enhancing our region’s cultural experience through our commitment to artistic excellence and exceptional musical performance.

Spooky Strings, under the direction of Dr. Mark P. Thomas, returns from the earth again for another Halloween spirted concert!

<p>Don't fret my freaky friends, Dr. Thomas and his cast of ghastly, ghoulistic and downright dreadful musicians are sure to make you cringe in fear and despair. Rumors in the crypt are that there also may be some voices singing  or moaning some haunting melodies. I do hope they can be awakened  from their sleep. Oh, and don't forget, be sure to bring the children with you!. Not only are children under 12 admitted free, we promise them a night to remember.  And if the music of the night doesn't sound chilling enough, we'll even let you take your children home with you.</p>
