All-Day WorkshopDate: Saturday, November 22ndTime: 10am-5pmDescription: During this workshop, students will make a hollow, shadowbox leaf pendant from fine silver metal clay, split down the middle to reveal a shiny ball of silver or colorful cubic zirconia. Learn best practices for setting a kiln-safe, faceted gem so that it stays secure while the metal clay shrinks during firing. This beautiful project teaches excellent construction techniques from dry components. This workshop is for all levels of crafters! Students will complete the project through the greenware stage and leave their pieces for the instructor to fire after the workshop.Tuition: $105 + $55 materials feeMaterials: All materials will be providedWe really want you to join us in the studio! There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. About the ArtistDonna Penoyer is a master metal clay instructor who has been working in the medium since 2005. She has taught workshops throughout the U.S., England, and Belgium and has created a number of video tutorials available through <a href="http://craftcast.com/" title="http://craftcast.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">craftcast.com</a>. Although she developed a spirited, over-the-top, 21-year career as a professional stiltwalker, these days Donna is pretty down-to-earth. She is a welcoming teacher who believes there is a gleeful maker in everyone.
