Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Cleveland will honor two journalists, award a scholarship, and introduce new Board members at its June 26 annual meeting.

SPJ will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Tricia Nelligan Ambrose, executive editor of The News-Herald in Lake County and The Morning Journal in Lorain.

The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) will be presented to Marv Kropko, who is retired after 38 years with The Morning Journal, the Associated Press and Case Western Reserve University.

In a ceremony to be held later at WKYC, TV-3 sports director Jim Donovan will be honored with the DSA.

A high school senior will be awarded a $4,000 college scholarship named after Philip Porter, one of the chapter founders.
