First to chew and swallow the last clean off the bone wing is our champion!~!~~

Winner receives a $100 Speedwell Gift Card, A Hop’s and Hots Official T Shirt, a Speedwell Stranger Hand Blown Glass Mug, and a Speedwell Tavern Hops & Hots Wing Challenge trophy!

Proceeds go to the Plymouth Fire Local 1768 and the Muscular Dystrophy Association!-Waiver must be signed before anyone attempts this challenge!

Frequently asked questions

Are the Wings that Hot?

Yes. We use Fresh Hot Peppers along with extracts, powders... you name it! This is meant to be COMPETITION LEVEL SPICYNESS!!!!!

What do I get for participating?

10 of the spiciest wings you've ever had, A pint of Mayflower Speedwell Lager for when you tap out and the satisfaction of knowing your $20 goes directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of America on behalf of the Plymouth Fire Department and The Speedwell Tavern!

How do I win?

Be the first person to finish all 10 wings CLEANLY (you will be shown the day of the contest). Wings must be chewed and swallowed! (Yes, we will check... it's got weird the last couple of years haha). The current record is just over a minute!!!

What time should I show up?

Please show up at least an hour before competition time and check in at the registration/tshirt table near the mural at the back of the room. Ceremonies and competition start at 4pm!

I don't want to compete but want to go to the event and/or donate

Awesome! Admission is free for people not competing! A dollar for every Mayflower Beer Sold will be donated, along with other fundraising opportunities like buying T Shirts, 50/50 raffles and filling the boot!
