Beaver Lake Montreal, QC H3H CanadaAfter participating in a couple speed dating events recently in Montreal, I’ve been somewhat disappointed in the value proposition that’s been offered. Either the events are expensive or not well organized (or both) and I think I can do better.
I invite you to put your trust in me to put together a great event.
How it’s going to go down:
Each male/female pair will have the opportunity to walk around the lac au castor (~8 minutes). Dates will be staggered so that when you get back to the “home base”, you will have a short break while you wait for your next date to arrive from their own walk.
To avoid awkwardness, you will not communicate immediately to your date whether you would like to go on another date with them. Instead you will write down on a piece of paper, which I will provide, which potential partners you would like to see again. I will then collect everyone’s papers and send out matches with contact information the next day.
Advantages of a parc setting
- less noisy, speed dating events can get really noisy
- Healthy fresh air, sunshine and grounding for those who are into those sorts of things
- A great filter for increasing the likelihood of meeting someone who appreciates nature just like you
Disadvantages of a parc setting
- it might rain (if it needs to be canceled due to a really bad weather forecast, you will receive a full refund)
- It might be cold (dress appropriately, it can’t be that bad in June)
