```*How does speed dating work?
We will start with time to check-in, get a drink, and mingle. When rounds start you will sit at the table marked on your date card (picked up at check-in). The rounds will be 5-8 minutes long. At the end of the round, guys will move to the next table and the ladies will stay put.
*Do I really need to be within the given age range?
No, but you should be close. No more than a year on either side. The age ranges will change with each event.
*What if I get nervous or don’t have anything to talk about?
It’s normal to be nervous but remember everyone is there for the same reason. However, there will be ice breaker questions on each table just in case. You will be surprised how fast 8 minutes flies by!
*What is a “match"?
A “match” is when you say YES to a person on your date card, and they say YES to you on theirs. Date cards will be turned in at the end of the event. You DO NOT tell the person Yes or NO while in the round.
*What happens when I match with someone?
I will enter all the information in a spreadsheet to see the matches made. If you “match” then you will get an email with your matches contact information. After that you can make contact and get to know more about each other to see if you want to schedule a date on your own.
*What happens if I don’t make a match?
Its ok if you don’t make a match at this event. There will be more events and you just keep trying. Don’t get discouraged. The dating pool will change, and you can keep looking for your match!
*When should I say YES on my date card?
A yes does not have any obligation to it other than possibly exchanging contact information to get to know someone better. If there is any interest in seeing if you’re compatible. Say YES!
*When should I say NO on my date card?
Not everyone is your cup of tea and that’s ok. If there is no interest in getting to know your date more, say no. You don’t want to waste your time or theirs.
*What is the refund policy?
Things happen. We get it. You can request a refund up to one week prior to the event through Eventbrite. If you need to request a refund after the cut off time, please contact me at minutestomingle@gmail.com. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
