Join Rebecca Minor, LICSW (Gender specialist and parent coach), and Chris Angel Murphy, MSW (LGBTQ+ speaker, trainer, and consultant) for this free, virtual event. This event is for anyone wanting tools to combat anti-trans arguments. The event will be recorded and available via a link for 30 days after the live event.

Come for a 1.5-hour webinar on topics including.

  • Real-world implications of anti-trans legislation
  • Responses to arguments the opposition makes
  • Talking points for personal and professional life
  • Handling misinformation
  • Taking on emotional labor for trans folks

The event will be hosted on a Zoom webinar, and attendees will receive a PDF file including a fact sheet and resources.

Speakers:

Rebecca Minor, LICSW (she/her) is a neuroqueer femme, clinician, consultant, and educator specializing in the intersection of trauma, gender, and sexuality. As a Gender Specialist, Rebecca partners with trans and gender nonconforming youth through their journey of becoming and is a guide to their parents in affirming it. Rebecca is part-time faculty at the Boston University School of Social work and always works through a lens that is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and resilience-oriented. In addition to her clinical work, Rebecca has provided cultural humility training and consultation to organizations, schools, and businesses for the past decade.

Chris Angel Murphy, MSW (they/them) is an award-winning LGBTQ+ speaker, trainer, and consultant who is neuroqueer and nonbinary. They have a background in social work and over 14 years of experience with LGBTQ+ community organizing. As the owner of Gender Sexuality Info, LLC, they provide various services and products to businesses, nonprofits, the LGBTQ+ community and those who support them. Chris Angel is a connector at heart, and the host of Allyship is a Verb, a double Ambie-nominated podcast.
