About this event

RSVP to attend meeting to receive parking pass and have ID badge prepared in advance. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early.

PARKING

You will come to Hart, Dole, Inouye Federal Center at 74 Washington St. N, Battle Creek, MI. 49037 As you are coming North on Washington St., go through the intersection at Champion and on your left hand side on Washington is a parking lot. Park in the open parking lot with your parking pass showing in your window (per instructions on pass) or visitors parking if you are going to be less than 2 hours. Parking Pass will be emailed to you.

ENTRANCE

You want to come to the side entrance across from the parking area, it’s a smaller entrance. It is like airport security (backpack, etc. all go through security scanner), so you will have to be scanned and have your Driver’s License to enter the building. No weapons, knives, or mace allowed, you would have to return it to your car. Do NOT go to the entrance with the huge pillars at the front of the building, many people make this mistake and this is for employee’s only and then you have to go all the way around.

TOUR

There will be an optional tour of the Federal Center immediately following our meeting. When registering, please specify in your ticket type: Meeting Only or Meeting + Tour .

VIRTUAL ATTENDANCE

If attending virtually, you do not need to register / RSVP.

The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Calhoun County (SPCCC) is a partnership of dedicated community members that includes medical and behavioral health professionals, educators, law enforcement, faith leaders, veterans services, mental health advocates, survivors of suicide loss, survivors of suicide attempt, and many other caring and compassionate members of your community.

We are asking YOU to join us.

Sign up for a QPR class today; spread the word to your friends, family, and neighbors; and once you've taken QPR, share your knowledge with others, help plant the seeds of hope, and when you notice warning signs that someone might be thinking of suicide, use your skills to TAKE ACTION.

Be the one to show up for that person, let them know you care, listen with empathy (and without judgement), and get others involved. We need our community now more than ever, and most importantly, WE NEED YOU.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, call our local Summit Pointe Crisis Line (1-800-632-5449) or call/text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Reach out TOGETHER; if you're struggling, ask someone to help you make that call, or be the one to help a friend make that call. You deserve support, you belong here, and YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Summit Pointe provides 24 hour a day emergency services and crisis response. Services are designed to meet the mental health crisis needs for all of Calhoun County.

If you are interested in bringing QPR to your workplace or organization, please contact Scott at steichmer@summitpointe.org
