Sparking Action! is a day of hands-on learning about the science of fire, wildfire preparedness, and community actions that make us more resilient to wildfire! This free, family-friendly event includes a variety of activity stations to explore concepts:
- live fire demonstrations
- evacuation planning
- story time for kids
- DIY low-cost air filter workshop from 1:30-2:30 (free, sign up required)

ScienceWorks Hands-On MuseumStudent-led service projects will showcase the work of local high school students who are participating in FireBright, the locally-developed wildfire science curriculum that is now offered at several schools in Jackson and Josephine Counties.Sparking Action! is sponsored by ScienceWorks, Southern Oregon Forest Restoration Collaborative, Ashland Fire & Rescue, the City of Ashland and Lomakatsi Restoration Project.
