The SpArK Summit, taking place on 21st and 22nd February, is a two-day platform dedicated to advocating and empowering art education.
At the intersection of art-based learning and community, culture, and identity, SpArK creates space for meaningful dialogue, hands-on practice, and collective reflection. The summit brings together children, educators, artists, cultural practitioners, institutions, and communities to explore how the arts shape curious, confident, and socially connected young minds.
Rooted in Goa’s rich cultural landscape, this edition places special emphasis on local artistic traditions, contemporary practices, and evolving cultural ecosystems—positioning Goa not only as a site of heritage, but as a living, learning, and globally relevant creative hub.
Agenda Overview:
At the heart of SPARK is a belief that children are not future artists—they are artists now. This edition will feature:
- Voices of SpArK - Exhibition: A museum-style exhibition featuring 20+ curated artworks by Art be a Part ‘Nature Art’ Scholarship students, hosted by the children themselves. Each artwork in their own narrative, offers a raw, unfiltered insight into how young creators see their world.
- A Learning & Sharing space - Workshops: The venue transforms into an open, living studio with live workshops in sketching, printmaking, charcoal, eco-art, and botanical art—moving learning beyond closed classrooms into shared public spaces.
- Community, Culture & Identity: Goa-specific explorations through architecture sketches, and storytelling rooted in place, memory, and identity—highlighting how culture shapes creative expression.
- Film Screenings: Visual narratives documenting how art nurtures voice, culture, and self-worth in young creators, offering reflection through lived experiences.
