Description: This level 1, Spanish for Law Enforcement in-person intensive, is designed to build and enhance officer's knowledge and skill level of basic Spanish. The course focuses on useful Spanish phrases for a basic traffic stop, danger words and basic commands. The primary focus is to help participants gain confidence speaking Spanish through interactive and engaging classroom activities. This course will also cover some basic Spanish grammar structure, but grammar is not the focus. There is a short prerequisite online component designed to familiarize participants with a few concepts before the course begins.

Basic Traffic Stop

Prerequisite: 1-2 hours of online content is required prior to the start of class which will help prepare participants for the 3 day training. Click prerequisite to begin.
Additional: NOTE - Lodging and meals are the responsibility of each participant/agency. There will be a 1 hour lunch break each day during training and 2 ten minute breaks.

Cancelation policy: If for some reason you need to cancel your registration for this course you will receive a full refund as long as cancellation happens 45 days prior to course start date, (minus any translation fees). If cancellation is requested between 44-22 days before the start date you will receive a 50% refund, (minus any translation fees). Note: There is NO refund 21 days before start date. However, upon request an office can receive a voucher for a future in-person course or opt to receive 1 online course.
