Spanish for Beginners will be an online, 10-week community Spanish class in a safe, affirming space. We will be covering everything you need to know for basic communication. You can choose to pay $10 per week or $100 for the entire 10-week course. All materials will be provided. The instructor, Jojo, is a native speaker. More on Jojo from them:
- I grew up in Quito, Ecuador with American parents, offering me a unique bilingual upbringing that sparked my passion of linguistics.
- I have a degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a Minor in Linguistics. I’m also a certified Spanish translator and worked in the Spanish Writing Center at my university.
- I currently tutor neurodivergent students in Spanish and have a passion for incorporating all learning styles to support my students and make learning approachable and exciting.
Note: Because Jojo is white, they are choosing to donate 10% of all proceeds to La Paz, a local nonprofit working "to empower and engage Chattanooga's Latino population through advocacy, education, and inclusion."
