Spanish for 911 Dispatch level 2

This course was created just for 911 dispatch and designed for people who have some Spanish experience. 

Learning Objectives:  Dispatchers will learn more complex phrases that will help expedite receiving and relay information more quickly.

Authentic Learning Experience: Our online courses offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the language by listening to native Spanish speakers, including police officers and medical providers from Mexico. This provides an authentic experience of different accents and intonations, helping you train your ear and better understand Spanish in real-world scenarios.

Self-Paced Learning: With an estimated duration of approximately 5 hours, this self-paced course allows you to progress at your convenience. You can start and stop as needed, making it easy to fit into your busy schedule.

Comprehensive Materials: The course includes instructional videos designed to be watched multiple times for improved comprehension and pronunciation practice. Worksheets are provided to reinforce learning and comprehension.

Active Speaking Component: As part of the course, you'll select 10-12 phrases that are most relevant to your practice. You'll then create a voice recording of yourself speaking these phrases, which will be reviewed by our instructors. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a certificate of completion.

You will learn useful phrases for basic intake questions, for example:

• Do you need police, fire, or medical assistance?
• Are there any weapons involved?
• Where do you live?
• Are you in danger?

As well as useful phrases like:

• Please hold while I get an interpreter on the line.
• Don’t hang up
• Please, confirm your address for me.
