Join us for an intensive three-day, two-night experience where you'll level up your Super Smash Bros skills to the max! Our camp is designed for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced, who are passionate about honing their techniques and dominating the competition.

Under the guidance of experienced coaches and top players, you'll dive deep into the intricacies of the game, mastering advanced techniques, refining your strategies, and perfecting your timing and execution. Top players will include our premier collegiate smash bros team and coach! This team competes against the best colleges in the country like, Ohio State, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Kansas, Boise State, James Madison University, and many more! Take this opportunity to learn from their success!

But it's not all hard work! In between intense training sessions, you'll have plenty of opportunities to bond with fellow players, make new friends, and enjoy classic camp activities like recreational activities at the Payne Center, team challenges, and late-night gaming sessions. The Payne Center is the primary recreational space for students at Southern Miss! It offers several basketball courts, a rock wall experience, an escape room, and more!

The camp culminates in an epic tournament where you'll put your newfound skills to the test against your fellow campers. With bragging rights and prizes on the line, it's sure to be an adrenaline-fueled showdown you won't soon forget!

STUDENTS NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN NINTENDO SWITCH CONSOLE AND CONTROLLER WITH THE SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE GAME DOWNLOADED OR IN THE CONSOLE

Students will be staying in campus dorms throughout the camp. Girls and boys will be separated into dorms based on sex/gender with boys being on one floor with a chaperone and girls on another with a chaperone.

Covered in the costs are the Payne Center experience, food provided at the Fresh Food Company buffet dining experience in the Thad Cochran Center, and access to our state-of-the-art esports arena!


Southern Miss Esports is also the host for the MHSAA Esports State Championships! Every semester the best High School esports teams, including Smash Bros, travel to Hattiesburg, MS to compete for the State Championship!

Will students stay overnight at the camp?

Yes, students will be housed in our resident halls during the evening portions of the camp.

Can students stay off-campus during the camp?

No.

Will students need to bring their own console stations and controllers?

Yes, students are asked to provide their own Nintendo Switch with controllers and any other accessories needed.
