About this event

  • 3 hours

Join us, Arun & Chichester Citizens Advice and Citizens Advice 1066, for our third Net Zero Conference as we learn from experts about progress on reaching net zero emissions within the housing stock by 2050.

The conference will discuss energy citizenship whereby all citizens can actively participate in energy systems, whatever their income or situation. Improved democracy and control over energy can potentially make the transition to net zero fairer and more inclusive. It can take many forms, from consumers participating in local energy networks, social and private tenants having a say in renewable energy and energy efficiency for their homes, to participating in climate change action.

Speakers include:

· Kirsten Jenkins – Edinburgh University

· Ffiona Hesketh - Department for Energy Security & Net Zero

· Abigail Ward - EST

· Louise Sunderland – RAP

· Mari Martiskainen – Energy Demand Research Centre, Sussex University

· James Sommerville - Violet Energy

· Rother District Council and Citizens Advice 1066 - Lucie Bolton & Mike Pepler

· Emmanuel Akadiri - UKPN

· Rachel Brain – Repowering London
