Whether you live in an urban or rural area, a farm is never far away. Join the South Carolina Agricultural Council on Friday, June 7th for our Spring Tour, as we travel down I-26 to 3 unique locations.
The first stop of the tour is in Charleston, where we will visit the Green Heart Project’s Urban Farm at Enston Home and learn how the nonprofit group helps to cultivate a healthy community with their garden-based school programs. Leaving Charleston, we will make our way to Holly Hill, SC, where we will visit Hickory Bluff Berry Farm for lunch and a tour of a third generation family farm growing delicious strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. For our last stop, we will take a jump back in time to learn about the roots of South Carolina agriculture at the Elloree Heritage Museum. If you are farmer, friend, or anybody else interested in agriculture, we welcome you to explore South Carolina agriculture with us on this upcoming tour!
The tour will begin at 7:30 am and end at 6:00 pm at the South Carolina Farm Bureau Office (724 Knox Abbott Dr, Cayce, SC 29033). Contact Stephen Slice at 803-360-2845 for additional information.
