About this event

  • 2 hours

This class will deep dive into the nuances of sourdough starters. How is it supposed to look, smell, and feel at different stages? What's the weird liquid sitting on top? How do I know if it's gone bad? Come with all your questions! You'll learn how to use different flours, ratios, and feeding techniques to suit your preferences and baking needs. We'll talk about how to create a feeding schedule that works for you AND your starter as well as storage options like drying and freezing. We will go over proper maintenance and helpful tools to keep in your kitchen. Included in the class is a portion of personalized sourdough starter (that you mix in class), dried starter flakes, and access to our Sourdough Discard Recipes to help you avoid any unnecessary waste.
