Portage River Bakehouse and River Raisin Distillery are teaming up to teach you everything you need to know about sourdough bread making. Instructors Brad and Maris Metz will take you through the entire process of baking the perfect loaf of sourdough. Maris is a seasoned baker and Brad is a biology instructor at Washtenaw Community College. Their combination of skill sets, thorough Q & A throughout the process along with demonstration and the science behind each step, participants will leave with the confidence to make their own sourdough bread. In addition, each participant will take home their own starter and a binder with all of the information covered in class
