About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Struggling with shaping your bread dough? This advanced shaping class is designed to help you get some supervised practice and an opportunity to ask questions with your hands in the dough. You will get to try several different shaping techniques (including baguettes) as well as storage basket options and helpful tools. We will discuss the importance of pre-shaping, bench rest, proper surface flouring, and sealing the bottom seam. You will also gain a better understanding of the final proofing stage. Shaping is an art, so this will be a change to make the process your own! You will take home two loaves of dough (that you shape in class) to bake at home the next day as well as a dough scraper tool.
