Join us on Monday, April 28th at 8pm for a fun-filled virtual class on how to make sourdough bread! Sourdough Society's very own baker will be hosting alongside her partner in crime, Soph.

Note: You must purchase or make your own starter.

It's best to keep starter in an environment between 70-75 degrees.

🥖 Ingredients:

  • Flour (bread flour is ideal)
  • Water (filtered or non-chlorinated is best)
  • Salt (fine sea salt or kosher salt)
  • Sourdough starter (active and bubbly)

🛠️ Tools:

  • Mixing bowl (large)
  • Digital kitchen scale (for accurate measurements)
  • Bench scraper (for handling and dividing dough)
  • Dough whisk or spoon (for initial mixing)
  • Proofing basket (banneton) or a bowl with a towel for shaping
  • Dutch oven (for baking with steam)
