Sourdough Bread Making Class
Delicious fresh sourdough bread is not hard to make. Come learn in this fun, approachable and hands-on class!
Sourdough Bread Making Class
This is a hands-on, in-person class where we’re going to take the mystery out of sourdough and make it simple, practical and actually doable.
No waking up at 3 a.m. to feed your starter. No monitoring its temperature like a sick baby. No 47-step process that requires you to rearrange your life around a loaf of bread.
Just good bread, a little patience, and a method that actually fits into a normal person's life.
Whether you’ve never made bread before or you’ve already had a few sourdough flops, I’ll walk you through the whole process — from managing your starter to mixing, shaping, baking, and yes, there will be some tasting!
You’ll get your hands in the dough and leave with a loaf of your own to bake at home the following day. You'll get the recipe, and hopefully the confidence to make another one at home.
THE ELLE CHEF IS BACK. 🍞
I’m bringing back something I haven’t done in YEARS: a good old-fashioned Elle Chef sourdough class.
Back in 2018, I started teaching people how to make sourdough bread in Ottawa. I taught hundreds of people before moving back to Southwestern Ontario and putting my bread-pushing days on pause for other adventures.
Well, I’ve decided it’s time for a comeback.
I am, technically, not a chef. I’m a home cook who got very, very into sourdough.
But I’ve been teaching this stuff for years, and my whole approach has always been: if it doesn’t fit into your real life, it’s not a useful recipe.
So come learn sourdough from your friendly neighbour. It'll be cozy. It'll be practical. And it will be fun!
You’ll eat bread and leave with bread. What's not to love!
