About this event

Come out and enjoy a night like no other. Come sit on the couch and enjoy an evening of live art and libations. Artists from around the city step on stage and pour their hearts into their craft, just for you. This open mic is open to all genres but it is a 21+ event.

Where else can you go in the city on a Saturday night that has free spirits, on and off the stage, free parking, free artist sign-up, and only $5 entry fee? Lite bites are usually availble but feel free to bring your own food.

Frequently asked questions

What time should I arrive?

The first person is usually called to the mic around 7:20. This will allow time to come in, get comfortable and sign up.

Can I use a track?

Yes, it is recommended that you bring your own track because there is no guarantee that a band will be there every show. Please have it on a flash drive or in a media type that can easily be sent via email.

Can I bring my equipment?

Yes, there is a full stage and the owners can show you were to plug and play.

Can I bring my kids?

We cannot control the content that artists share on the mic so it is suggested that there are no attendees under 18.

Where to park?

There is a large parking lot beside the drug store that offers free parking, if the small lot in front of JB's Record Lounge is full.

How many pieces can I do?

It depends on the list. If they are short, each artist can usually perform two pieces. Keep in mind most attention spans are only 3-5 minutes nowadays, so if you have a 20-minute poem, you may want to save that for another venue.
