- This course focuses on understanding the Sony FX30 camera beyond its basic functions, exploring how to shape image, color, and texture to achieve cinematic results in real-world environments.
- Participants will explore color science, gamma options, codecs, and recording formats, learning how to make confident decisions in fast-moving documentary situations and flexible shooting setups. The workshop also covers lens selection, filters, and practical techniques to create strong, polished images directly in-camera.
- From capture to final delivery, the process continues in DaVinci Resolve, where you'll learn how to quickly transform your footage into compelling visuals for multiple platforms—from mobile and web to large-screen presentations—while also developing more refined color grading approaches for projects that demand a higher-end finish.
🎞️ ABOUT JAIZIEL
Jaiziel is a graduate of the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in CDMX, photographer and director, and partner and founder of Estación Marte Films.
He served as cinematographer on the documentary Hasta los dientes, which won the Ariel Award for Best Feature Documentary in 2018. In 2019, he was the cinematographer for Se escuchan aullidos by Guatemalan director Julio Hernández Cordón. In 2020, he directed his debut feature Días de Invierno, which premiered at FICUNAM and Gramado, and was distributed in Mexican theaters in 2021 through EFICINE.
In 2023, he shot Acto controlado de lo absurdo, directed by Chinese filmmaker Chengliang Zhu, currently in post-production.
