Sonscreen was created by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists to nurture Christian filmmakers in their craft.

<p><strong>We are excited to welcome you to Sonscreen 2021 . </strong></p><p><strong>The Sonscreen Film Festival</strong> is the annual gathering for Christian young filmmakers who have a passion for using film and video for the purpose of creating timely and relevant productions for social awareness, outreach, and uplifting creative entertainment. </p><p></p><p>First and most importantly, Sonscreen 2021 will be virtual. We have been working on some exciting new innovations to this year’s virtual festival—especially the interactive nature of this year’s event! We will be using the Gather virtual platform which uses a combination of video calling (think Zoom) and a 2D map (think Among Us), that lets you interact with other attendees in a more natural manner (such as the ability to "walk away" as well as have group/private conversations). Also, we're expanding the Sonscreen experience to take place over six days—every Friday from April 2 to May 7, with different films and presenters scheduled for each two-hour session.</p><p></p><p>Sonscreen will begin with two Sonscreen opening sessions that will allow students to get acquainted with the platform while we begin our virtual programming. These sessions will be free of charge, but registration will be required in order to receive login information. These sessions will each last 2 hours. If you are submitting a film it will be $40. As always, Sonscreen Alumni will get a complimentary pass. Just contact us so we can make arrangements.</p>
