Come & sing wonderful Roma songs with us. The workshop will be led by two musicians from traditional Roma families, Oto Bunda [SK] & Jan Duzda [CZ]. You will learn several polyphonic songs that we will sing together at a concert. Wherever a song is heard, sadness is gone.
Jan Dužda [CZ]
Guitarist, songwriter, specialist for Roma music & culture…
Great guitarist & bassist, son of Jan Dužda Sr. from the legendary band KALE is active in the band Le Čhavendar. He is the author of numerous Roma songs & at the same time an excellent polyphonic singer. Jan studied Anthropology & Roma Studies & is therefore a rich source of interesting information.
Oto Bunda [SK]
Singer, songwriter, dancer…
Oto is a great dancer, singer and, above all, teacher. He is known for his emotionality, which he can add to Roma songs and especially to Halgato. He comes from the well-known Bunda family, known in the field of traditional Roma music. He gained a lot of experience leading the Romani choir Čhavorenge. Oto also composes his own songs & plays the piano and guitar.
