Join the University of Washington Chorale for Songs in Sanctuary, an afternoon choral performance at the Henry Art Gallery. Presented in conjunction with Josh Faught: Sanctuary and taking place within the exhibition, the performance will feature musical expressions of texture and weaving as explored in Faught’s textile works.
Visitors are encouraged to sit directly on the floor. Floor cushions available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some stools available upon request.
About the Chorale
The University of Washington Chorale is an advanced undergraduate ensemble containing students from all majors across the Seattle campus. The chorus has collaborated with many prestigious artists including Seattle Symphony, Andrea Bocelli, Imogen Heap and acclaimed visual artists and dancers. In January of 2024 they appeared as vetted performers at the ACDA NW Regional Conference Closing Performance, singing a full set of their own as well as collaborating with the renowned Choral Arts Ensemble NW. In the summer of 2024, UW Chorale toured Central Europe with performances at ancient churches and cathedrals in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Their fourth CD, entitled Chasing Daybreak, was released on all streaming platforms earlier this year.
