Come join us for a relaxing and rejuvenating Somatic Yoga session at 169 New York Avenue, Huntington, NY, USA. This class focuses on slow and gentle movements to help release tension from the body and mind.

Somatic yoga is the practice of sensing your way in and out of poses by connecting to how your body feels in the moment. It is about nourishing the body in a gentle and mindful way, feeling and exploring through inward movement.

Somatic Yin incorporates yin yoga poses with free flowing movement (or stillness) to move energy in and out of the body, honor what you need in each movement and moment, and brings you back to your softness and playful nature.

Whether you're a beginner or experienced yogi, this class is suitable for all levels.

What is Somatic Yoga?

Somatic yoga is the practice of sensing your way in and out of poses by connecting to how your body feels in the moment. It is about nourishing the body in a gentle and mindful way, feeling and exploring through inward movement, not focusing on how it looks on the outside.

Are the Yin poses hard?

Yin poses are mostly seated or laying down and incorporate the use of yoga props (i.e. blocks, bolsters and blankets) to ensure full support and comfort throughout the practice.

Are all levels welcome?

Yes!

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat and props?

Yoga mats and props will be provided by the studio, but you can bring your own if you want.
