Overview:

The term "somatic" pertains to the body and its sensations, movements, and experiences. Somatic healing approaches recognize that emotional, psychological, and physical health are interrelated and that addressing bodily experiences can be an effective means of promoting overall healing and wellness. Practices and therapies that fall under the umbrella of somatic healing often involve techniques aimed at accessing and releasing tension, trauma, or emotions stored in the body. These may include body centered psychotherapy, mindfulness, breathwork, bodywork and movement. This training will introduce somatic healing and how the body can be integrated into the healing process.
