Somatic Breathwork Taster Session

Somatic Breathwork Taster Session

Chorlton Health HubChorlton-cum-Hardy, England
Saturday, Mar 28 from 1 pm to 2:15 pm
Overview

A guided somatic breathwork experience to help you slow down, release stress, and reconnect with your body.

This is a guided somatic breathwork taster experience.

Somatic Breathwork is an embodied practice that utilises the power of the breath to help you safely release stored stress, energy and emotions held within the body. You’ll be guided by music and voice using a circular conscious connected breathing pattern in a small group setting.

This is perfect if you are new to breathwork and want to get a feel for what a breathwork experience is like.

What to Expect

This taster session includes:

• An introduction to the practice & grounding
• Guided somatic breathwork
• Nervous-system-led pacing and choice
• Gentle integration and closing

You are always in control of your experience. You can pause, rest, or adjust at any time.

No previous experience is needed.

This Session Is For You If:

• New to breathwork and want to experience what a session feels like

• You feel overwhelmed or stuck in overdrive
• You’re holding stress or emotional tension
• You want nervous system support without being pushed beyond your capacity
• You’re curious about breathwork but wary of intensity

What you'll need:

  • Yoga mats will be available - you're welcome to bring your own for your comfort if you wish.
  • Blanket & pillow for comfort (optional)
  • Bottle of water
  • Journal and something to write with (optional)
  • Wear something breathable and comfy.

Where possible, avoid eating 1-2 hours before.

I encourage you to create some space in your day after the session ends to support the integration process.

Spaces are intentionally limited to create a safe and supportive group environment.

Contraindications:

Somatic Breathwork is intended as a personal growth experience and should not be looked upon as a substitute for psychotherapy. It is not appropriate for pregnant women, for persons with cardiovascular problems, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, history of seizures, stroke, major psychiatric conditions, recent surgery, acute infectious illness or epilepsy. If you have any doubt about whether you should participate, please consult with your physician(s). Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their physician(s).

By signing up to attend, you confirm that you have read and understood the above information and attest that your general health is good to participate.
