About Alycia Wong
Alycia is the founder of The Way Hōm. Raised in Vancouver, BC and now Denver, CO based, her mission is to empower collective well-being through self-care and resilience-building practices. Growing up competitively dancing, she was always inspired by the body's resilience and capacity for expression. Witnessing her father's struggle with mental illness, and inspired by her mother’s interest in holistic health, led to her fascination with the mind-body-spirit connection.
Our mindset creates our reality, and in a dysregulated world, it's easy to lose connection to our sense of vitality. Alycia brings 13+ years of coaching dance and group fitness along with certifications in barre, pilates, 200HR-RYT and Soma+IQ Breathwork, to create welcoming, curated and transformative containers for healing. Alycia hopes to foster the freedom that comes from self-belief, helping others remember how to tap into their innate power so they can access greater clarity, connection to purpose and sense of awe.

Inspired by Holotropic Breathwork, we use deep, circular belly breathing. First half: mouth breathing to activate nervous system and somatically release suppressed emotions/trauma. Second half: nasal breathing to regulate nervous system, and assist with re-patterning
Emotions are energy in motion. When we avoid feelings or suppress how we feel, the energy remains trapped within the body and manifests as dis-ease. While the practice is deeply healing, if you are suffering from thoughts of self-harm and suicide, text HOME to 741741 or call 844- 493-TALK (8255).
Yes of course! Towels, pillows, bolsters are great tools to place under legs for back support, or as props to help with expressing emotions like anger and frustrations. Blankets are also a great option if you tend to get cold.
