Solveis an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a mission to solve world challenges. Solve is a marketplace for social impact innovation. Through open innovation Challenges, Solve finds incredible tech-based social entrepreneurs all around the world. Solve then brings together MIT’s innovation ecosystem and a community of Members to fund and support these entrepreneurs to help them drive lasting, transformational impact. Join hosts from around the world for our first Global Solveathon! This will be an  interactive event to develop and refine solutions.

<a href="https://solve.mit.edu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MIT Solve</a> will host our first global virtual Solveathon tournament on Thursday, June 4 to generate and refine great ideas to Solve’s 2020 Global Challenges. This event will bring together teams from around the world!Solveathon workshops are highly interactive design workshops aimed at developing and improving great solutions to global challenges. You will meet new people, work on big ideas, and be part of a global community. This event will be led by MIT Solve staff and trained facilitators to focus on generating new ideas through the design thinking process in response to <a href="http://solve.mit.edu/challenges" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Solve’s Challenges</a>: <ul><li>Learning for Girls &amp; Women</li><li>Sustainable Food Systems</li><li>Good Jobs &amp; Inclusive Entrepreneurship</li><li>Maternal &amp; Newborn Health</li><li>Health Security &amp; Pandemics</li></ul>No prior expertise is needed to join! We welcome a diversity of backgrounds and experience levels. Everyone has their own passions and skills to bring to the table and can build on one another’s ideas. This will also be an opportunity for you to learn how to more effectively co-create and innovate in a virtual space. We encourage you to <a href="https://solve.mit.edu/challenges" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">apply to Solve's Global Challenges</a>, which are open for solutions between February and June each year (this year, February 25 to June 18, 2020). Solver teams join Solve’s MIT-backed network and receive 9 months of personalized support from Solve's community of peers, funders, and experts to advance their innovative work.
