<h2>Bullying is destroying young lives </h2><p>Student bullying and harassment are some of the most painful and intractable challenges facing educators today. As educators we know how much suffering bullying causes and without intervention the effects can easily escalate into anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation.  Students who are different, e.g. because of their ability, ethnicity, socio-economic status or simply because they don’t follow stereotypical gender norms, are particularly vulnerable.  And yet most teachers and school leaders have never been trained in an effective system for how to respond. </p><h2>Learn an award winning intervention that is revolutionizing how schools respond to bullying </h2><p>We developed Solution Team® to give schools an effective solution to bullying. Teachers and counselors trained in Solution Team® bring together the bullying students with 3-4 prosocial students and activate their empathy to end the bullying of one of their peers. After a three hour training most educators are able to solve 90% of incidents, making this one of the most impactful anti-bullying interventions ever.  Solution Team®  was awarded first prize by Ashoka Changemakers and has been recognized by the National Institute of Justice as a promising best practice.  Thousands of school leaders, teachers and counselors nationwide have made  Solution Team® their chosen response to bullying. </p><h2>Training Design</h2><p>Through a combination of small-group discussions, role-plays and individualized coaching through virtual break-out rooms, participants learn how to:</p><ul><li>Lead a team of students through all stages of a Solution Team® to stop the bullying of one of their peers.</li><li>Create an implementation plan to run a Solution Team at your school or program so that you catch the students at risk from bullying and get them the help they need.</li></ul><h2>Logistics</h2><ul><li>The program begins at 12:00 PM and ends at 3:00  PM.  A  Zoom link will be sent out 24 hours prior via email.</li><li>All trainer materials will be provided electronically. She is an engaging and passionate leadership coach and conflict mediator with over a decade of experience as a positive changemaker inspiring innovative ideas and culture transformation for organizations. Kathy is results-driven. She has strategized and led executive level coaching at the global level with training programs to actively engage learners in climate and culture change. Additionally, she is a seasoned public speaker bringing a unique perspective to over 400 international organizations, educational institutions, and conferences as a subject-matter expert on systems change, organizational culture, diversity and inclusion, and bullying prevention. Kathy is passionate about our youth, believing firmly that we build a healthy, strong community by empowering the younger generation and ensuring that they are given every opportunity to succeed.</p>
