Yael Acher “KAT” Modiano

Baroque to Contemporary and Spirituals

Award Winning Fulbright Scholar Flutist and Composer.


Acher “KAT” Modiano’s diversified body of work includes classical, contemporary, electro-

acoustic, sound-art, urban jazz, film scores for silent films, music for choreography and

tango. She holds a BA in Classical Flute Performing Arts from Jerusalem Academy for

Music & Dance in Jerusalem, and an MA in Music for Social Change from Empire State

College in NYC. Modiano studied Composition as a Fulbright Scholar at New York

University and Hunter College. She performs locally and internationally, teach flute,

masterclasses, and interactive music appreciation for people of all ages, in different

communities and cultures. Furthermore, Modiano performs Charity concerts that benefit

humanitarian causes.
