About this location

Not far from its thundering waterfalls, this evening concert will take place at Silver Falls State Park in Sublimity, Oregon. A sprawling rainforest oasis spanning over 9000 acres, Silver Falls State Park is revered as the "crown jewel" of the Oregon State Parks system. The concert area is in a picturesque clearing within the park's Historic District, a village adorned with Works Progress Administration structures that once comprised the logging community of Silver Falls City. The piano will be situated in the open field north of the South Falls Cafe, East of the South Falls Nature Store. Concert check-in opens at 5:00 pm and the performance begins at 6:00 pm.

This event takes place on the unceded, ancestral and occupied territory of the Molalla and Kalapuya peoples who are now represented by the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz.

Organized by

A nonprofit founded in 2016 by classical pianist Hunter Noack, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild™ is an outdoor concert series where America's most stunning landscapes replace the traditional concert hall. A 9-foot Steinway grand piano travels on a flatbed trailer to National Parks, urban greenspaces, working ranches, farms, and historical sites for classical music concerts that connect people with each landscape. To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted to concert-goers via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, audiences are able to explore the landscape, wander through secret glens, lie in sunny meadows, and roam old growth forests.
