The Climate Witness Project is a campaign of theOffice of Social JusticeandWorld Renewdesigned to walk with congregations as they learn about the realities of climate change, as they seek to be better stewards of the resources they have been given, and as they find their voice to speak to their public officials about common sense climate policy that will benefit the earth, people around the world who are poor and vulnerable, and future generations. CRC Climate Witness Project

Is your church interested in exploring renewable energy? What are the options? Is solar right for you? How can you fund it?
You're invited to attend the Solar for Churches workshop at Church of the Servant (3835 Burton St SE Grand Rapids, MI) on Wednesday, May 23 at 7 PM.  We will:

<LI>Review the current state of the technology by solar installer Solar Wind</LI>
<LI>Tour Church of the Servant’s solar panel installation</LI>
<LI>Explore funding options with MIPL Executive Director Bob Chapman</LI>
<LI>Ask questions of a panel of churches that have already taken the plunge (Church of the Servant, Plymouth UCC, Ann Arbor Campus Chapel)</LI>
</UL>
For those who want to continue the exploration, we will arrange for a professional assessment over the course of the summer. In the fall, we will take a deeper dive into funding options and host a vendor’s exhibit hall.  
There is no charge for the workshop, but please register here so we can plan properly.
