Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

Marsha P. Johnson State Park is a seven-acre waterfront park located along the East River in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. It offers visitors a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, a delightful play area, and the green space provides many opportunities for recreation and relaxation.

Safely view the eclipse! We will be handing out free eclipse glasses, first come, first served. We will also have other viewing materials.

New York City will be experiencing at Solar Eclipse at 90% totality. NYS Parks staff will be tabling with information, handing out free eclipse glasses, and lending out other viewing material during the eclipse. The moon will start crossing over the sun at 2:10 PM, the eclipse will peak at about 3:20 PM, and end at 4:30 PM.*NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITHOUT PROPER EYE PROTECTION! When: April 8th, 2024 at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PMWho: All ages welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult.Where: The blue Park House by the front entrance of Marsha P.
