Be ready for the Total Solar Eclipse on August 21, 2017! All locations in East Tennessee will experience a partial or total solar eclipse that day. Teachers will review the sun/Earth/moon system, view simulated partial and total eclipses in the Planetarium, and learn strategies for eclipse day activities at their schools, for both partial and total eclipse viewing, including a Make & Take project. Each teacher will also receive a class set of 30 eclipse shades and a certificate of completion.

Teachers in grades k-12 from the STEMspark STEM Hub region (Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union) counties are invited to take part!
