We encourage you to bring simple lawn chairs and yard blankets to “claim your spot” for the watch party! What entertainment will be there?We will be having a live DJ, music and more! Vendors and a beer garden, too! Where can I purchase tickets? How much are they?Scan our QR code for online sales. Do I need an event ticket to enter?Yes. All attendees will need a ticket to enter the event. FAQ-Where can I get eye protection?You can order your eye protection online or check the local stores! Visit French Lick West Baden have eye wear available for FREE at their Visitor’s Center! We will also have a limited supply at the gate, day of. What do I need to do to prepare for this event?Pre-plan all your travel the day of the event. We are expecting a multitude of visitors and traffic so plan ahead to get where you need to go. Make sure your vehicle is gassed or charged up to avoid the gas station rush! You can even plan to carpool or walk to decrease traffic. Carrying cash is HIGHLY recommended during your travel and viewing parties. Is there any lodging or overnight accommodations available?Lodging options in the area are filling up quickly! Make your plans as soon as possible for overnight stays. Be sure to check local AirBnb options, too! When does the eclipse take place and how long with it last?The partial eclipse will last from 1:48pm-4:22pm. The instance of total darkness from the eclipse will occur at 3:04pm and last for around 3 minutes and 55 seconds. Will I need a telescope to view the eclipse?Because this is the total phase of the eclipse in our area, it is going to look amazing to the naked eye. How many people will be able to view the total eclipse in the continental US?The line of totality is going to cross through 15 states. Tens of millions of people live in the path of totality. This will be the most viewed eclipse ever, according to the attention it is grabbing on social media and beyond. Is this a common occurrence?The last total eclipse, in the US, happened on August 21, 2017. The viewing area stretched from Oregon to South Carolina. There was a total solar eclipse on December 14, 2020 visible in South America. When will the next solar eclipse happen in the US?The next total solar eclipse will not occur in the US until 2044!
