The Institute for Energy Innovation (IEI) is a Michigan-based non-profit that works to promote greater public understanding of advanced energy and its economic potential for Michigan, and to inform the policy and public discussion on Michigan’s energy challenges and opportunities.​IEI is governed by a group of energy leaders with deep connections to industry, research, finance, and policy. We focus our activity in providing unbiased, research-driven reports and undertaking community initiatives that actively apply what we've learned in innovative settings, earning success even in areas where others have struggled and creating replicable models.

You're invited to join the <A HREF="https://mieibc.org/iei/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Institute for Energy Innovation</A> for a Solar 101 Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, May 22 in Lansing at the Michigan House Office Building in the Mackinac Conference Room.
During Solar 101, attendees will get a comprehensive overview of the solar industry in Michigan. This event is for Michigan state legislators, legislative staff, and Michigan EIBC members only.
 
The schedule is as follows:
11:30 am - Networking & Boxed Lunch
12:00 pm - Panel Discussion with Q & A
1:30 pm - Adjournment

Myles Burnsed, VP of Strategic Developments, EDF Renewables David Gard, Senior Consultant, 5 Lakes Energy & Board Member, Michigan Energy Options Luke Olinyk, VP of Sales and Marketing, Harvest Energy Solutions
 
Please note there are multiple solar events happening in Lansing on May 22. The Michigan Conservative Energy Forum is coordinating two tours of the Delta Township solar facility 15 minutes west of downtown Lansing. Electric buses will be parked outside the Capitol at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to take tour attendees to and from the Delta Township solar facility. If you take the 9:00 am tour, you will arrive back at the Capitol around 10:30 am. If you take the 3:00 pm tour, you will arrive back at the Capitol around 4:30 pm.
