Sol Supper: Sugar Shack

Located three blocks from Lake Michigan in the defunct Howard Theatre building (an architectural gem of the 1920s), we draw inspiration from the bright & dynamic history of our neighborhood, incorporating it into our menu & space. Rogers Park is our home, & we honor it by combining the flavors from regions where our coffee is grown, with the originality & flair of what inspires us most about our favorite corner of Chicago.Our customers give us life. On any given day you may pass by a local artist adorning our walls with her latest eco-installation, or overhear our friends at Family Matters discussing powerful ideas with neighborhood teens. The vibrant sounds of classic Cumbia, 60’s soul, or hometown Hip Hop greet you with each visit, as well as an eclectic selection of scratch-made drinks & curated food.
