Join us Thursday, June 13th as we welcome Dr. Jennifer Carson, Ph.D, for an interactive session that explores effective approaches for providing care and support to individuals with dementia, including communication techniques, proactive strategies to reduce distress, and self-care practices, in order to enhance the well-being for both the care partner and the person living with dementia. Dr. Carson is a critical gerontologist and the Founding Director of the Dementia Engagement, Education and Research (DEER) Program in the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno.
