Software Carpentry @ GWU - Intro to Shell, Git, Python

This event is an example-driven two-day workshop on Shell, Git, and Python. Short tutorials alternate with hands-on practical exercises, and participants are encouraged both to help one another, and to try applying what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions. Participants should bring their own laptop to work on. This should be a "real" laptop - not a Chromebook, tablet, etc. You should also be sure to have admin privileges on this computer.

This event runs from May 16-17, 2019, from 9:00AM - 4:30PM each day. The workshop will be held at Gelman Library in the National Churchill Library Center (NCLC) which is located on the 1st floor, one level down from the library entrance.
The event is limited to students, faculty, staff, and researchers directly affiliated with The George Washington University.
Seating is limited so please only register if you can commit to attending the full workshop. Once you have registered, please let us know if your plans change.
