Sock Puppet workshop

Sock Puppet workshop

5621 Government StBaton Rouge, LA
Saturday, Mar 28 from 10:30 am to 12 pm
Overview

Let your child’s imagination shine! Kids 6–11 create and decorate their own puppet in this playful hands-on workshop.

In this fun and creative workshop, all materials needed for the craft will be provided. Kids will design and create their own sock puppets from start to finish! The event begins with children sketching their puppet character on paper, using their imagination to plan colors, personalities, and features. Then, they’ll bring their designs to life by building and decorating their puppets using a variety of materials.

This hands-on activity encourages creativity, focus, and fine motor skills while allowing each child to express their unique ideas. No two puppets will be the same!

At the end of the workshop, kids will have the chance to introduce their puppet and share the character they created with the group, making it a fun and interactive experience for everyone.

Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before the workshop begins. We will start promptly at 11:30 AM so the kids have the full time to enjoy the activity. Arriving a little early helps everyone get settled and allows us to begin on time.
