Centennial Donor and Society Memberships for the 100th
We are asking you to open your heart to history and help us in our passionate pursuits to share the artifacts, stories, architecture and landscape that makes our community unique and also celebrated in Ohio and the nation. I ask you to join us a Society Centennial Donor or pledge your membership.
Funds collected will be applied toward Centennial programming, operations, publications and our endowment at Akron Community Foundation. Let’s begin our second century, honoring the spirit of the Perkins family by continuing to reach out to the community and provide rock-solid footing for our future!
We have been diligently planning our centennial anniversary with Board Director Emma Lieberth Osborn chairing the initiative. Every $1,000 donor will receive one (1) complimentary ticket to our celebration event to be held on July 12, 2024, with honorary chairs Dave Lieberth and Judi Hill. Dave is the Society chairman emeritus, Executive Secretary of the Akron Bicentennial Commission and President of the Akron History Center. Judi is a past Society board director and President of the NAACP.
Society Centennial Donors will also be provided a ticket to select events such as the March 22nd Women’s History Project Woman of the Year Awards and listed in new Society publications.
Individual tickets to Society 100th anniversary events will be available separately via EventBrite or by contacting the Society office at 330.535.1120.
