About this event

Social Emotional Learning is in the educational spotlight, and there is an abundance of information, resources, and ideas. At the same time, teachers and school leadership grapple with navigating the challenges of starting, integrating, and further developing SEL programs. This Community Conversation is designed to hold space to talk about these challenges and gain new insights for SEL in our schools.

Participants will:

  • Reflect on why SEL is important, needed, and how to determine whether outsourced programs or creating programming is the right fit for your community
  • Share challenges and barriers with implementing SEL in classrooms and school culture
  • Explore how to implement one change or practical application of SEL in your classrooms

    AUDIENCE

This is a free program for CATDC Member Schools. It is designed for classroom teachers, SEL specialists, and school leaders interested in starting, integrating, or further developing SEL programming. We invite CATDC Member Schools to send up to 3 people to our free member-only workshops. Spots fill quickly and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
