Sober Party Networking!

We're so excited to be bringing our sober party networking to Middlesbrough this May! This is a great to chance to experience a new type of networking with a chilled party vibe.


What to Expect
Expect a chilled out, friendly atmosphere! We make it easy to start conversations, meet new people and forget that you're at a networking event.

Grab a 0% welcome drink as you enter and start making connections. Introduce yourself with a 30 second intro (This is Optional - no pressure if you don't want to! Simply opt out at ticket purchase) then get chance to enjoy a drink, chill out and chat.

We will be announcing shortly - However we can let you know that the talk will be about grants and funding for businesses in Teesside, so it will definitely be worth a listen!

Meal after Networking
After the networking, join us for a meal at Turtle Bay where you can order main meals, small plates, sharers, mocktails and much more. The table is booked for maximum of 16 people to allow for some good conversations and further networking. Please book your space early to avoid disappointment - £5.00 deposit included in ticket price which will come off your total price.

Dress Code
We are expecting a mix of guests coming from a range of industries but there is no pressure to wear suits or smart business wear (just come in what you're comfortable in). Remember it is a summer social so fingers crossed for some sun ☀️

We will be capturing content throughout the event for our social media channels so please note that all attendees may feature in some photos. We actively encourage you all to take photos and videos of the event and are more than happy to tag people in our content for extra exposure to your businesses.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to give a welcome intro?

Absolutely not! We are all about making people feel confident, so there's no pressure to do any public speaking. The intro simply gives you chance to hear what some people do and to help you speak to the right people.

Can I just attend the meal?

You can just attend the meal, however networking is still included in the ticket price.

Where is the nearest parking?

Cleveland Centre Car Park, Buxton street Car Park, Captain Cook Multi Storey, Zetland Multi Storey - Please check all options and reviews before parking.

What welcome drinks will be available?

You can choose from Heineken 0%, Non-Alcoholic Cocktails (Passion Paradise, Virgin Raspberry Reggae, Virgin Kolada) or a Regular Juice or Soft Drink.

How does the meal work?

You simply purchase a networking and meal ticket. This ticket includes £5.00 which is your meal deposit. You can order any mocktails, 0% or soft drinks form the menu plus food. Each person pays for themself and your £5.00 deposit comes off your final bill.

Gutted I can't make this one - are there more events?

Yes! As well as hosting sober parties, we also host networking parties and activities. Make sure you follow us on Eventbrite and social media to be the first to find out. You can also email refreshsoberparties@outlook.com and request to be added to the mailing list.

I'm nervous about networking. Is it for me?

Absolutely! Most networking events rely on you to make the "first move" and start conversations, which can be so daunting! We provide lot's of props and questions to help you get the conversation flowing. We have amazing guest speakers, cool venues and even better people attending!

I want to be a guest speaker at one of the next events. How do I apply?
