Join us for a fun and interactive Soap Making Workshop where you can unleash your creativity and learn the art of making your own personalized soaps!

In this workshop with Felicia Thomas, who turned her hobby and passion for making her own soaps and candles into a highly successful business. We will begin by discovering the history and chemistry of soapmaking, and the safety practices required to manufacture soap.

Students will be taught how to make cold-process soap from scratch.

What should you bring? Please wear closed-toed shoes. Also, a hair tie would be nice to have handy. We provide eye protection, gloves, aprons & all your sudsy ingredients. A waiver must be signed prior to class participation. Students must be 12 years or older to participate. You will be using a covered blender containing complex ingredients. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class start time.

Students will make and take home a 1lb loaf of Soap, a recipe for more fun soap making, and a care card.

Goggles/ masks/ gloves will be provided. The minimum age requirement is 12 years of age or older. Parents must sign a waiver for underage participants.

What is your cancellation policy?

We get it, life happens. If you request a cancellation at least 72 hours before the time of your event, we'll issue you a voucher! Please email us for a cancellation request. If there is not enough guest for our workshop to take place a voucher will be issued to reschedule for another day or any other workshop taking place.

Meet the Instructor:

In 2010, Felicia Thomas embarked on her soap making journey, becoming the proud owner and operator of FSC Workshop. With her expertise as a master soap maker, she has honed her skills in both Cold Process and Hot Process soap making techniques. Sharing her knowledge and passion, Felicia has conducted hands-on soap making classes across the DMV area, including schools in the District of Columbia. Additionally, she welcomes aspiring soap makers to her storefront creative space in District Heights MD, where she holds captivating classes. Felicia's deep-rooted love for soap making stemmed from her personal struggle to find natural skin care products that effectively address common skin issues.
